Throughout the year, we plan a variety of inspiring events that highlight the work we do.
Graduations – Events held in February/March, June and October to recognize several of the newly formed partnerships of an assistance dog and a person with a disability.
Open Houses – Quarterly presentations for those who would like to learn more about Can Do Canines.
The Fetching Ball Gala – A wonderful evening held each winter, celebrating Can Do Canines.
Can Do Woofaroo – Our family-fun festival is held in September and includes a variety of exciting activities.
We invite you to join us at one of our upcoming events. Click on a listing to view more details.
On Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m., Executive Director Jeff Johnson will host a virtual conversation via Zoom. Director of Training Julianne Larsen will join Jeff to share how we have begun training both facility dogs and skilled home companions and what these new approaches mean. She and Jeff will gladly answer questions and provide information not only on these concepts but also on other organizational news.
Please register ahead of time for this virtual session. Once you do, you’ll receive the link to join the conversation on the 21st. Both closed captioning and a live ASL interpreter will be available during the session.
We also encourage you to submit a question either ahead of time or during the discussion. Caren Hansen, our marketing and communication manager, will serve as our moderator and will present as many questions as possible for us to answer during our conversation.
