There may be times when those involved with Can Do Canines have an issue with the organization, a particular program, or a certain staff member. Can Do Canines has developed this Conflict Resolution Policy for you to address issues or concerns and resolve them in the most effective and timely manner.
Action 1
If an individual has an issue with any aspect of Can Do Canines’ program, mission, or function, that issue should be directed to the staff member responsible for that function.
Action 2
If the issue is not dealt with in a timely fashion or a satisfactory manner in Step 1, the individual should promptly bring the complaint to the Volunteer Coordinator, followed by the next level of management, continuing to the Executive Director.
Action 3
If the concern is not resolved to the individual’s satisfaction by the Executive Director, the individual may submit a request for review in writing to the President of Can Do Canines’ Board of Directors. The President will determine whether to speak to the individual and whether the Board should review the conflict and make a final decision.
