Level Assessments

Level Assessments

Can Do Canines Puppy Program group training classes are divided into three different, progressive levels. These levels are based on the knowledge and abilities of the dog and handler team versus strict age grouping. All new dog and handler teams will start in Level 1, where they will learn the foundations for Key Behaviors and Common Cues. Movement from one level to the next will be determined via self-assessment. Handlers are welcome to complete the self-assessment for a level at any time they believe they are ready to progress to the next level.

Attending classes regularly will ensure that dogs and handlers learn the foundations needed to progress through the levels, however, teams in need of targeted guidance on a cue or behavior are encouraged to arrange a one-on-one training session with a Puppy Program Instructor.
