Client Services Staff

Julianne Larsen, Director of Training

I oversee everything to do with the dogs and with clients/graduates. The majority of my job is managing the staff that handles the day-to-day decisions and functions of our program.

I live in a small town west of Minnetonka with my fiance, Jay, and our two small dogs. Jay owns a small business, so any extra time I have is spent helping out there or with my home remodel.

Shenna Lemche, Client Services and Training Manager

My day-to-day is spent helping our staff, volunteers, and program dogs navigate successfully through our training program. I'm so proud to work here and to see Puppy Program improve and grow every day. The best part of my position is seeing dogs go from puppies to their full potential.

I am also a volunteer with Can Do Canines and have had many dogs as a foster, so for the volunteers out there, I GET IT!

In addition to program dogs, I also have three dogs of my own. We compete in agility, obedience, and herding.

Cari Bishop, Client Services Assistant

I am one of the first contacts here to answer questions from potential applicants and others wanting information about service dogs. I handle client paperwork things: create and maintain client files, gather all pertinent information prior to interviews; process yearly client surveys, vet reports, and ID cards. I also help with preparation of orientations, classes, graduations, and other client-based events. I love hearing stories from clients about how their assistance dogs have changed their lives.

When I'm not at work, I am a fitness instructor, a wannabe gardener, and a gymnastics and violin mom. I live nearby with my husband, two daughters, two guinea pigs, and a dog who thinks she's a cat.

Bethany Goble, Client Services Coordinator

I joined Can Do Canines after working in Social Services and doing Dog Training in CA. This came as an amazing opportunity to combine my two passions while working with a talented team. As a Client Services Coordinator I get to work with a variety of clients to assess their strengths and challenges to help determine if one of our assistance dogs is the right choice. Once the journey begins, so does the work. As in any relationship, hard work is the magic sauce. When the team starts to gel and training becomes a routine, a future partnership is born. I feel blessed to be a part of the process.

Outside of work, I have my own furry partner-in-crime that helps me explore my new Minnesota home through photography adventures.

Jessica

Jessica Kuehlman, Client Services Coordinator

Before joining Can Do Canines as a Client service Coordinator,  I worked at a veterinary clinic for 15 years and at my family's small business, Aqualand Aquarium Center. I do in-home training with people and their pet dogs to help with basic obedience training, and I enjoy helping people build strong relationships with their dogs.
I have two Siberian huskies, Wyatt and Lupita. I have owned six Siberians over the last 30 years, my first one being a birthday gift from my parents. Wyatt and Lupita are always up for adventures, so walking and obedience classes are some of our favorite activities.
Laura

Laura Hofmann, Client Services Coordinator

Before being welcomed to this wonderful team at Can Do Canines, I spent most of my career doing behavior modification and training shelter dogs in Colorado. I've also worked in the veterinary industry, done in-home dog training, and volunteered for several therapeutic horseback riding organizations, assisting people with disabilities. Dogs can do amazing things, and I am excited to facilitate clear communication and partnership between assistance dogs and their humans!
Outside of work, I enjoy going to concerts, hiking, and traveling. I have two dogs - a German Shepherd and a Husky/Pitbull mix. They love learning and adventures, so I'm very active!

Laura Syring, Client Services Coordinator

I live on a 10-acre hobby farm with my horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. I've always loved working with animals and helping people, so working at Can Do Canines as a Client Services Coordinator provides me with a wonderful opportunity to do both.
Bailey

Bailey Stickney, Graduate Services Coordinator

I spend my days engaging and supporting graduates by answering questions, “tuning up” training as needed, solving behavior issues that can pop up, recertifying teams, and holding continuing education classes for graduates. I have a long history of working with and training dogs in many capacities. I’m so proud to be here at Can Do Canines, and I can’t wait to see where this organization goes!

Outside of work, I enjoy kayaking in the summer, drinking hot cocoa under a heated blanket in the winter, throwing axes, singing karaoke (when I can convince anyone to join me), and just generally spending time with my husband Russ, and our three pets: Juniper the American Staffordshire terrier, Mason the boxer mix, and Francis the cat.
